Don’t get me wrong, Backpack’s not for everybody – it’s about as random as it comes – but it’s definitely a breath of fresh air in the sketch comedy landscape where lame writing and tired clichés flourish.

Sketchfest: Weekend 2 Round-Up
Time Out Chicago - 01.14.08
They came to town via Austin amidst huge buzz from the sketch community, so I was pumped to see what these boys could bring. If you were hanging around the fest later Friday night, you already know that I thought this show was phenomenal. At the risk of sounding like a Rolling Stone movie review, I’ll add that I laughed the entire time. Hard.

Chicago Sun-Times - 01.11.08
Take the absurdity of Monty Python and mix it with the wit and hilarity of Kids in the Hall and you've got yourself the makings of Backpack Picnic. The Austin, Texas-based sketch comedy troupe, best known for its top-rated Internet shorts on onnetworks.com, will perform as part of the Chicago Sketchfest.

I Need To Watch Funny Clips
OK, this is one of the best episodes. It has a lot of dry spots because at parts its too long. Watching it a few times just makes it hillarious. In backbpack picnic, I think a great idea is to watch their facial expressions. Some of them are ridiculous to whats going on in the story that that alone makes it funny.
Different people, different tastes:

How can people not laugh at this? Just the reactions and deadpan back chat is enough reason to laugh in itself. Yes, the giant arms were weird, but so is the whole video. It's funny, damnit! No to everyone's taste, but it does set an example how we see people. (Please, like people don't go into a waiting room or reception area and instantly stare at a funny feature of another).
This one is also my favorite. Nice use of (I'm guessing) consulting a word-of-the day calendar. Today's word was "nocebo," just so you know.
It's really funny...I gave it a second watch...still funny!
I guess there's something wrong with me because I laughed so hard I was crying...I loved it. The punch line wasn't so great but the entire skit was so stupid that it was fantastic...I loved her reactions...I'm gonna go watch it again.
I agree with Stephanie. The punchline at the end sucks. A couple funny moments. But mostly a waste of time.
imbroglio: noun

2. an intricate and perplexing state of affairs; a complicated or difficult situation.
3. a confused heap.

It is too STUPID!!! this video is horrible!! Its not funny it is ugly!!
DO ALL VIDEO'S START AND STOP SEVERAL TIMES?
If you're talking about the stutters that happen when the right-side menu changes, unfortunately it's consistent. Bummer, huh?
