Here is some of the best-looking fantasy sports video I’ve seen on the web: the Five Minute Drill.

The Five Minute Drill
Episode “Drafting Running Backs”
Cecil Lammey: Week one of the NFL Season is a lot like Christmas in September and its time to open the gifts.
Sigmund Bloom: This week we will shake the boxes and tell you if you are going to get a lump of coal, or a red rider bb gun.
Cecil Lammey: You’ll shoot your eye out kid.
Male announcer: Its time for fantasy footballs five minute drill. Quarter backed by Cecil Lammey, and Sigmund Bloom.
Cecil Lammey: Vince Young is a fantastic player but he never had a good game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. In fact they were down right deplorable. This is the week, if you have a viable back up, go ahead and start him over VY.
It’s going to be a dome shoot out when the Carolina Panthers face the St Louis Rams. Now Jake Delhomme is going to have a great game, because no one on the Rams can cover Steve Smith, especially not Tie Hill.
Expect Almont Green to have a decimated game against the Chiefs front line. They are playing with a swagger and confidence down there in Houston. Thanks to Matt Schaub. We all know that Almont is healthy, he is featured, and Mike Sherman knows how to use his guy.
Forget Southeast Jerome we need to call Clinton Portis the riddler, because there are so many question marks with this guy. Starting with is health. We don’t know how god that knee is. And even Joe Gibbs has said that Ladell Betts is going to split time even though Clinton Portis is going to start. But against the Miami front seven. It’s going to be a bad game for CP.
Brad Childress is channeling Dan Reaves, meaning the offensive game plan for the Vikings is going to be run, run, run, punt. There could be as many as 45 carries for the running backs this week. We all know Adrian Peterson is a superstar but he is not going to get all the carries. If you are searching for a decent option for your running back two or a flex position, don’t overlook Chester Taylor.
Cadillac Williams is the engine for the buccaneer’s offense. It is week one so he is as healthy as he is going to be. Seattle’s one legitimate run stuffer, Marcus Tubs is out for the season. Caddy makes his living between the tackles and he gets stronger as he goes on.
The Bengals secondary is looking horrible. Which means Mark Clayton is going to have a good game this Sunday. Now it is not Derrick Mason that is the number one receiver. It is Clayton, so go out and trade for him, because his value is only going up.
Randy Moss is not going to get cut. There were rumors that he may be released or put on the physically unable to perform list. As far as we know this is a ruse built up by BiIl Bellicheck to fool his former friend Eric Mangni. We just don’t know it’s hard to recommend a start in Moss this week, because he could play a not, he could not play a lot. We know that he hasn’t built the chemistry with Brady yet, this is the waking sea week for Randy Moss.
It is alive yes the Oakland Offense has life. Mainly due to Lane Kiffin and Dante Culpepper, this week they are facing a Detroit secondary that is injured and porous at best. Jerry Porter and Ron Mccurry are guys that may be on your Waiver wire. Go out and get them, consider starting them this week.
Terry Glenn is hurt and starting for the Dallas Cowboys which doesn’t matter because he is not going to play the role that he normally does, which opens the door for Patrick Crayton. Sam Anderson is hurt for the giants and fantasy football rule number thirty four is start whoever is cover by RW Mcwaters.
Sigmund Bloom: Week one is when fantasy football meets reality. Savvy owners let week one dynamite their false expectations starting with the newest members of fantasy footballs VIP club, the featured running backs. Now don’t let Cedric Benson and Brandon Jacobs fall off your radar just because they had bad games. They have been facing tough three four defenses on the road this week. You also shouldn’t give Joseph Addai a pass just because he had a huge game against the New Orleans defense at home.
Over one quarter f teams will unveil new offensive game plans this week headlined by philosophical 180’s in Arizona and Pittsburg. We will also find out this week whether offensive college football geniuses can pass their first test in the pros in Oakland and Atlanta, and whether Cam Cameron can put together anything resembling an offense in Miami.
A handful of quarter backs have something to prove in 2007. Rex Grossman and Tony Romo want to prove they deserve a new contract. Chad Pennington wants to prove it’s not Calvin Clemmons time on New York. And David Garmond wants to prove that Jack Delrio is not a fool for cutting Byron Leftwich. Good luck David.
Cecil Lammey: Let’s face it no matter how you draft it week one can make you look pretty bad.
Sigmund Bloom: Next week we will e back to help you separate week one fact from week one fiction.
Cecil Lammey: Thanks for watching The Five Minute Drill.
