<media:text type="html"><![CDATA[On Warcraft
Episode “Blood furnace Overview”

Mark: Welcome back to On Warcraft on On Networks, I am Mark Majcher.
Arwin: I am Arwin Lietz.
Mark: And we are going to be taking you through the Blood Furnace forge, furnace.
Arwin: Burn that blood.
Mark: Burning blood.
Arwin: Burn it.
Mark: This is another kind of medium sized, three boss instance with a bunch of stuff in it.
Arwin: It is longer than the Ramparts, and it is a little bit more of a pain in the ass to get through, but it is all about the warlocks, wet dream! They love it here. And all the warlocks in there for mobs, they love you; they want to be with you so it is a good time.
Mark: They love you until it hurts.
Arwin: It hurts bad.
Mark: Alright, we’re ready to go.
Arwin: Let’s go, you have to get their first.
Mark: We’ve got to get there, how do we get there?
Arwin: Well they could not have made it anymore further away for the horde particularly but also for the alliance is a pretty big pain. You have got to go, if you’re starting at the Ramparts, because you know I get there now. Start at the summoning stone and you’ve got the head across to this tiny little bridge that is heading over to the, kind of like the alliance stronghold. You go across the little dirt path and then head around to the right crossing along the chasm edge.
You’ll see a long flight of stairs which suck, because if you fall off of the stairs you have to go back and around and go back up the stairs and then you’ll actually walk along Ramparts, why you do not walk on the Ramparts to get to Ramparts I do not know. It is retarded, but you walk along the Ramparts and it will lead you right into the instance, which is at the top of Hellfire Citadel.
You head in there and the same thing with the ramparts, you can go in there really early. It is not worth it though, because this instance is about an hour and ½ to 2 hours, much longer than the 45 minutes of Ramparts.
Mark: You really only have to do it wants if you want to.
Arwin: Just go in for the quest; just really go in for the quest. And that is a quest that you can pick up that 58. You have to start and do the Ramparts first and then go in and continue Hellfire. It is just a collection quest is pretty easy, just kill a couple of orcs and get; actually I think you get the blood.
Mark: Awesome, in the furnace?
Arwin: In the furnace that’s right, the crucible as it were. The other thing that you can do is this kind of a exploration quest when you go into the Blood Furnace, you have to go to certain points like the final boss and you’ll find that and no problem there. So…
Mark: Let’s get in it.
Arwin: We are in. We have figured it out and we have found where it was, the trash in here, there’s going to be some rogues stuffed in here. They’ll just kinda chill out and wait for you, they also respawn so even after you’ve found them and killed them if you inevitably wipe and come back in…
Mark: Yep, they will be there waiting for you.
Arwin: So don’t run in alone, it is silly.
Mark: Keep a buddy.
Arwin: Keep a buddy always at least a buddy, a buddy or four.
Mark: Maybe five, or four.
Arwin: The whole party in their but as I mentioned before it is a lot of warlocks, warlock paradise. This is where they go on spring break I think so when you’re in there killing you want to make sure to line of sight pull them so that they have to run forward and kill you, or try to. Hopefully they don’t.
Mark: You do not want them to kill you.
Arwin: You do not want them to kill you.
Mark: Don’t do that.
Arwin: But they fear because they are warlocks, so pull them away from any other mobs that you are fighting, and if they cast Hellfire or anything else like that on you move out of it. Just walk away. You do have some, some summoners; you want to make sure that you kill those guys first because they’ll come after you.
So the trash is not too big, not too big of a deal nothing out of the ordinary. If you have a warlock in your party then it is super handy because they…
Mark: They grabbed those monsters with their mind and throw them away.
Arwin: They can enslave and you can have a monster tank for you to kill other things or whatever else happens. There are lot of fell guards in here and those are the big nasty tin men of the warlock world they’re pretty tough so again it is helpful to have a warlock insight. It is also really handy to have a crowd control in this instance. All three bosses somehow can benefit from, very benefit from the crowd control. So we will talk a little bit more about the bosses in other episodes. Beyond that, aside from nice to have a warlock, nice to have or really nice to have crowd control your typical fine and party is going to get through your just fine.
Mark: Yeah, walk on through.
Arwin: You just get on through and get your quest done, it is pretty standard and it has got good reputation, better loot than ramparts actually.
Mark: But none as efficient time vs. the looting.
Arwin: No, not as efficient, but when your grinding up from 61 to 62 this is another place to come.
Mark: You’re going to hit it.
Arwin: Hit it good. OK one thing to note if you do find yourself in the blood furnace and you want to jack up your experience in your reputation gain.
Mark: You can do that.
Arwin: You can do that, as you are in the Hellfire Peninsula there are PVP options, this is even on non PVP servers it is kind of cool. You can capture towers and you’ll go back to your town and get tokens or something like that, you will turn them in and they’ll give you different marks that add buff to you. The buff will give you 25% more honor, reputation game, and 5% more experience.
Mark: That is good.
Arwin: So if you find yourself in instance that frankly is not as efficient as ramparts in the Hellfire area.
Mark: Say Blood Furnace?
Arwin: I don’t know Blood Furnace?
Mark: Blood Furnace right, yeah.
Arwin: Use that buff and it will increase your reputation and experience game.
Mark: Make it a little smoother for you.
Arwin: Always a good thing, grind it on up from 56 to 62.
Mark: Cool so let’s stop killing trash and start killing bosses.
Arwin: That is right the next thing we are going to talk about is the first boss in the instance which is The Maker.
Mark: The Maker.
Arwin: He has quite a bit of trash to him, not as much as the Ramparts but we will take you all through that.
Mark: But space it all out.

<media:text type="html"><![CDATA[On Warcraft
Episode “The Maker”

Mark: Hey, welcome back to On Warcraft on the On Networks network, I am Mark Majcher.
Arwin: I am Arwin Lietz.
Mark: and here is the first part of the Blood Furnace, with The Muker, The Maker, Das Maker.
Arwin: The Maker is basically a big cyborg looking guy, he is got one funky red eye and like a…
Mark: Like zzz a little attachment there.
Arwin: I think he has a drill for a hand, actually one is a blender.
Mark: A blender?
Arwin: He is handy, he is the Maker.
Mark: He is.
Arwin: He makes smoothies, but he is actually a pretty easy boss to kill. Getting up to him there is a lot of trash mobs that are summoners, and different warlock type things. You just need to watch out for the fears, and watch out for anything that they cast that is just area. You can run out of that no problem, and also summoners, you need to kill those guys first, because they will just keep summoning their pets.
Mark: You can just sit there killing summoner’s things all day if you feel like it.
Arwin: You can do that; you can just get reputation, why not?
Mark: If you have got nothing better to do.
Arwin: You’ve got no other WOW's to do, yes so kill those guys first it is always a good idea. You also need to watch out for the rogue, there is a rogue heading up the stairs just before you get to The Maker. A huge long flight of stairs, at the top a happy little rogue will be waiting to greet you. He does not have any slippers or newspapers or anything like that for you.
Mark: Nope, he has got sharp little pointy things to put inside of you.
Arwin: He has got little pointy things of death.
Mark: And that hurts, you do not want that.
Arwin: Yeah so take him out, make sure to get rid of him and everything. There are also technicians along the way, and this is something that we have not really seen much in the rest of WOW.
Mark: They have got the bombs.
Arwin: They have got bombs, the first thing they do when they see you and agro on you is they toss a bomb, and then they run towards you. So they’re kind of a little suicidal.
Mark: Yet not very smart.
Arwin: Now they are not the smart bombers.
Mark: No there not the smart, they are the bombers.
Arwin: So the easiest way to take those out is either have your tank suicide on them, and just heal your tank up, it is like 1800 damage, not a big deal for a guy who is already got a ton of hit points. You could also have rogues disarm them. The problem is that their proximity based so if you have your rogues about the stealth up and they step on it.
Mark: They step on it, boom.
Arwin: If they step on it or anyone else in the party steps on it, it goes off.
Mark: They’re coming home and getting one of those little tags for their cars, it is not pretty.
Arwin: It is sad, or they lose a hand and their wife it has opened the pickle jars for the rest of their lives.
Mark: It is not working, oh help.
Arwin: Maybe that is how the Maker got his little hope for a hand.
Mark: Ooh, yeah, all the technicians.
Arwin: All those little bombs, so once you get past all of that trash you get to the Maker, he is really not a bad guy, and he is a nice guy. He wants to make you things.
Mark: He is misunderstood.
Arwin: He does an acid spit type thing and that is a cone, so you want to make sure that your tank is in good position, away from the party. In addition he does a knock back, so you have to have your tank face away from the party but also against the wall.
Mark: Make sure he has something nice and solid behind him so he does not get blown away.
Arwin: Well when he gets knocked back, when someone gets knocked back to the agro gets wiped out. So he is going to go for someone that he loves the most, which is the healer, always. So tanks make sure to position the dude away from the party, everyone else is going to be hitting him in the back and you yourself have your back to the wall. That will be helpful.
Mark: So you can get back on him as soon as possible.
Arwin: Now I mentioned before the crowd control is a big thing in this instance, because some boss needs some form and definitely benefit from it.
Mark: And this is no exception.
Arwin: This is actually the most fun of all of them because the reason that you crowd control is for your own party, and this guy mind controls, so not only is he making you smoothies but he is making your friends make you smoothies. Totally, it is no Jedi mind trick.
Mark: No, it is the real deal.
Arwin: It is going to mess you up, so crowd control the guy who gets mime controlled, and make sure you are watching for it because you might be down with a couple frost bolts up your butt before you realize that your Mage is the one who is NCed.
Mark: Or it might be you.
Arwin: It could be you, you never know so if something happens and your Mage does get mind controlled, someone else has got to crowd control him, I suggest stabbing.
Mark: Put a straight jacket on.
Arwin: Kill him whatever, we do not need him, so those are things to keep in mind for the Maker. You have got an acid cone, you have got knock backs.
Mark: Knockbacks into the wall hopefully.
Arwin: And mind control.
Mark: And the mind control.
Arwin: So watch out for those in you will be fine, the trash leading up to him is really kind of trivial. Alright so we’ve got the Maker, Gone.
Mark: We have got the Maker; he has got you, gone. So now we are going up to the next boss who is the big eye floaty guy with the tentacles.
Arwin: Broggok the beholder.
Mark: Broggok the beholder.
Arwin: Yes, he is a fun one because when you kill him his tongue falls out and it is a good photo OP for you and your party.
Mark: Get a little hunter trophy.
Arwin: So we can stay tuned for that and walk you through that step.

Mark: And we are going to show you the next boss in the blood furnace, it is the beholder.
Arwin: Low, it is the beholder, Broggok.
Mark: The beholder Broggok, not a beholder, the beholder as a given title.
Arwin: Are you a lawyer?
Mark: I am not a lawyer anymore; no I have been sued out of practice, debarred.
Arwin: Sorry about that, hopefully blizzard will not get sued for their copyright infringement of beholder, the beholder his given name.
Mark: The beholder, not an infringement.
Arwin: No, not at all, not in the least.
Mark: Totally legal.
Arwin: But we will tell you how to kill him anyways, and skirt any possible copyright laws.
Mark: Right because he will be dead.
Arwin: He is dead, all righty so we are in the blood furnace and we’re ready to kill the second boss, Broggok the Beholder.
Mark: Born ready.
Arwin: Totally ready. Two things to know before you even get to Broggok, one there’s going to be a rogue waiting outside the door. So after you go down a little hallway, it is kind of like a dorm room in fact of all these different mobs, at the end of there is going to be a rogue stealth waiting for you.
Mark: Waiting for you with the pointy sharpness.
Arwin: So make sure that you kill him out, if you wipe on Broggok now you have two rogues to get by.
Mark: Right, so double buddies.
Arwin: Always with a buddy, so you walk into Broggok room and you are going to have for pens of orcs, they’re penned up there rage is unspent at this point.
Mark: Yep, they are all mmm.
Arwin: They are ready to jump on you so this is a time to vent, and it is going to start with a lever pull, make sure nobody in your party walks up and says oh, what is this lever for? I don’t know, it will start the event and it is a chaotic event. It is pretty spine tingling, Orc on Orc action.
Mark: Whew that’s hot.
Arwin: It’s crazy, so happy if pull the lever and you made sure everyone is ready the first gate is going to open to release the first of four waves of orcs. Now they’re not too bad when they first come out, there just going to come out in a group of three, non elites. The second group is going to add an elite, the third wave is going to add another elite and take away one of those non elites, and so on and so forth.
So you have to make sure you can take out as many as you can, crowd control as many as you can. This is another fight again, second of two boss fights where you’re going to really be reliant on the sheep, on fears because you have got that warlock who is loving this instance.
Mark: Right use just rolling in it.
Arwin: He is rolling in something.
Mark: This is also timed so you have to be on it.
Arwin: It is timed so you have to keep one sheeped in all of these waves, 2 minutes later I think its 2 minutes; another door will open up and released the next wave so you don’t really get much of a reprieve, until the last guy of the last wave. So you have got four waves, keep one of those guys sheeped the entire time, you can mana regin and spirit regin, and get your food back up in all that, well you can actually eat because you’re still in combat but you can regin your mana and regin your health before you faced Broggok.
Now Broggok is mainly a poisoner, so is actually good if you have someone who can depoison in your party. It is not anything that you cannot get rid of, I mean you can probably deal with it, heal through it, but it is handy if you have someone who can depoison. He is going to spit a little poison ball and bullets at each person that is an individual thing. The other thing he does is the ring of poison.
Mark: Doom.
Arwin: He is going to spit rings on the floor that grow so tanks…
Mark: Don’t spit on the floor.
Arwin: He is going to; he does not care about rules.
Mark: He is not ladylike at all.
Arwin: He does not behold rules; no he does glances right over them he doesn’t care.
Mark: If you have a plus two spittoon that you are beholding though you’ll be all set.
Arwin: Yeah bring your spit resist gear, so make sure tanks and melee, if you see the ring spread move the boss somewhere else, don’t let everyone stand there. Friends do not let friends stand in spit.
Mark: Do not stand in the spit, get out of the spit.
Arwin: Get out of the spit, and once he is all good and dead those rings can still kill you so when you are watching the need and greed window and you do not know if this gear is what you have got.
Mark: Keep an eye on the floor.
Arwin: Watch the floor.
Mark: It is like 1:30 AM at the bar, just watch where you step.
Arwin: Always watch on the floor, so this guy is essentially a pushover once you get all the waves of that works that is the really tough part of the instance, of the boss fight. Then loot at 0% of the boss, and if you do wipe, remember the buddy system.
Mark: Yep, rogue, rogue, rogue.
Arwin: Watch out for the rogues stealth on your corpse run back, watch out for the poison that he spits on you that you can dispel, in the rings on the floor that you can’t dispel but you can get rid of and walk away from. Just walk away.
Mark: Yeah, dispel by getting out of the way.
Arwin: Just walk away; there we go that is him in a nutshell.
Mark: That is him, and crack down. Aah, all done.
Arwin: Nothing like a good Broggok kill in the morning.
Mark: Nope, so we’re done with him and we hit the next dude who is The Breaker.
Arwin: The maker, no wait it is The Breaker.
Mark: First you make it then you break it.
Arwin: First you make it then you break it, Keli’dan.
Mark: Yeah so we’re going to show you how to do that, coming up next.

Episode “Blood furnace, Keli’dan the breaker”

Mark: Hey welcome back to On Warcraft on On Networks. I am Mark Majcher.
Arwyn: I am Arwyn Lietz.
Mark: And this is the last boss of the Blood Furnace, it is Keli’dan the Breaker, and we’re going to break it down for you.
Arwyn: Yep, surprise, surprise he is a warlock. I’ll tell you how to kill him, we will tell you for the first time ever, and how in a game that Blizzard created you can kill a warlock.
Mark: Yes.
Arwyn: Finally someone can overcome them. All righty, so like a lot of bosses and this instance the room right before them is really, really tough and this guy is no exception. So he has got a roomful of Felgaurds that come in groups of two’s or threes, and they have got their buddies with them and everything. Most people might tell you to enslave a Felgaurd and have him tank for you in this room.
Mark: That is what I would do.
Arwyn: That is a bad idea.
Mark: That is a bad idea?
Arwyn: That is a very bad idea; it is like spring break Felgaurds gone wild. It is really bad, so I would not recommend that. Have a person with an actual brain, so you might have to get a new party. You might have to get a new guild I do not now, but find a tank with a brain though who can actually pull the Felgaurds off because they do switch agro and all that stuff. If you can get past those the next room is going to be cake, all it is, is our guy Keli’dan standing in a circle of five warlocks.
They are standing on top of a mesh net, under which you can see Mactherodon. There are actually points in the Blood Furnace where you can look over, almost like an observation deck and you can look down straight into the dragon.
Mark: I saw Mactherodon.
Arwyn: Yeah I saw him, what?
Mark: What?
Arwyn: Blood furnace, even at level 56 you can see Mactherodon which is pretty fun. So that is where these guys are standing on top of. You want to kill the five warlocks, so like a warlock in any blizzard game these guys are really powerful. You don’t want one person to be taking all of the hits, so it is important again to use crowd control, use your Mage that you strictly brought in here just for that. Your warlock, that is loving this instance anyways use him for order.
Mark: Pull him out of his little state of bliss to do some work.
Arwyn: Yeah make him actually work for this instance a little bit, so crowd control a couple of those guys. If you for some reason do not have those, let’s not hate, there are other people out there too, bring them all to the doorway so just line of sight pull them out of the boss room and back to where those Felgaurds were.
Mark: Get a nice little narrow trap going on there.
Arwyn: Exactly so they will clump up at the doorway and you can melee them or do whatever you need to do to mitigate their damage.
Mark: Close the door on them, psych.
Arwyn: They don’t like it when you close their hands in the door, it is a little sad to watch, they have to cast like this.
Mark: Stumpy the warlock.
Arwyn: But like the other two boss fights this is going to be the last guy standing, once he is dead he will trigger the boss, keep him crowd controlled long enough to get your health and manna back, there is also shadow damage a lot of shadow damage in this final fight. So if you at all possibly can get rid of those buffs before you hit the boss, much better.
Mark: That would be ideal.
Arwyn: You do not want to go into a total boss fight with a debuff on you, so get rid of that if you can or wait it out with the crowd control, otherwise suicide is your middle name. That is fine.
Mark: That is kind of a cool middle name though.
Arwyn: It would be kind of cool, the S is for suicide. See you need ahead into the room, you know what do it at your leisure, while you have got the last guy sheeped or something, because on the floor in this room not only can you see the Mactherodon below but above him little me on lines of goodness. You run across them and you get a caster buff that…
Mark: A disco buff.
Arwyn: Disco buffs that increase you’re casting time, you’re casting out rate, and also the same buff will increase your attack speed. So melee you benefit from this, casters you benefit from this.
Mark: Everyone benefits.
Arwyn: Except there are not enough to go around.
Mark: Almost everyone benefits.
Arwyn: So if you have got one of those crazy, kamikaze people who run in front of everyone they are going to pick up the buffs and you cannot get them back, they do not reset. Don’t group with the people who do that, or kick them out I do not care. We can replace those guys.
Mark: Yet totally there are plenty of players were they came from.
Arwyn: So pick up those buffs, that is nice. Once you actually get to fighting Keli’dan, he is a pretty easy boss, there is no tank requirement in terms of placing him, because he stays put. He just casts so he is like a lazy warlock, he does not break dance.
Mark: He does not break dance?
Arwyn: He is called a breaker but it is a total lie.
Mark: That is totally misleading
Arwyn: I know.
Mark: What the hell?
Arwyn: I know, go Blizzard. So you’re not going to get a fun little show, you do get the disco buffs.
Mark: So there you go.
Arwyn: Maybe he is rebelling against disco.
Mark: Maybe he is, hmm.
Arwyn: Was it break dancing like the anti disco?
Mark: Yeah let’s say it was.
Arwyn: Let’s say it was, alright so once you come in here and start killing the guy he does shadow damage like everyone else here and he also does fire damage. The shadow is going to be in a cone, so actually your tank should face him away from everyone; it is not too bad of a distance though it is only about 30 yards. You can out range that, the most important thing though it is he is going to tell you come closer and burn.
Mark: Don’t listen to him.
Arwyn: You should not fall for that, you should not take candy out of vans either. Come here little girl I have some candy for you.
Mark: Not even if it is really good candy.
Arwyn: This is not good candy.
Mark: Yeah, no.
Arwyn: This is the type of candy that burns going down and continues.
Mark: It burns kind of like the little hot cinnamon things; it is like a really burning.
Arwyn: It is sucktastic, so you’re going to want to run away. Do not even back up, when he says come closer and burn everyone run as far away as you can possibly get. If you all get out of range from the fire then he will shadow bolt you, so he still does bad things, but that you can survive. You can heal through and no problem, but other one you’re healers going to hate you, the rest of your party is going to hate you.
Mark: You are going to hate you.
Arwyn: Dogs and cats living together, it is going to be bad, so just stay out of that. He is pretty much a pushover just keep in mind that he does do shadow damage, so try to get that dispelled or get an aura that mitigates it. He does a shadow bolt cone, so you can face him away from the party.
Mark: Easy to take care of.
Arwyn: Easy to take care of, they are stupid this way. And then he also tells you to come closer right before he tries to AOE you, run away.
Mark: Yeah, note to boss; next time don’t say anything before you do that.
Arwyn: The bosses are, they are always really dumb, I will tell you my evil plan right before.
Mark: Ha, ha, ha, oh you beat me.
Arwyn: Oh how did you win again? So that is the final boss, and as an added bonus and proof that Blizzard does love us, they open a back door for you.
Mark: Oh, nice.
Arwyn: So you do not have to run right back to the stealth rogues. Run right out the back, make a new plan Stan. Head on out and my recommendation is once you’re through Blood Furnace and you have got the quest items and exploration and things like that done.
Mark: Never go back.
Arwyn: Never go back.
Mark: Never go back.
Arwyn: And lest you are a warlock, and you love doing it, which you will.
Mark: You love hanging out with your peeps.
Arwyn: Just chilling with your own kind, we are not segregationist or anything like that, I’m just saying…
Mark: No, but sometimes you need a safe place.
Arwyn: The warlocks feel comfortable there, they are loved there, head out though and go back to Ramparts, always.
Mark: Over and over.
Arwyn: Cool so you’re out the back door and we’re all done with the Blood Furnace for good, forever. So what is a good place to go next?
Mark: Well the easiest place to go after this, the most logical is to head over to Zangarmarsh and swim way under water to a gigantic pipe, after which you will find four instances. Two of them are very level appropriate, 62 or 63 thereabouts so head on over to Coil Fang, in Zangarmarsh.
Arwyn: Alright and we’ll be covering those later on in another episode, so you’ll have to watch then some other time.

<media:text type="html"><![CDATA[On Warcraft
Episode “Ramparts Overview”

Mark: Hello and welcome to On Warcraft, on the On Networks network. I am Mark Major.
Arwin: And I am Arwin Wheat’s.
Mark: And we are going to take you through the ramparts. This is an early instance you can get to.
Arwin: It is the first instance you can get into in the outlands. So that will bring you in there, get you some experience, get you some loot.
Mark: Got a couple of bosses to go through, got some walking around killing stuff. Taking there junk, and I think we will be good.
Arwin: There we go.
Mark: Anything in particular you want to say about the ramparts?
Arwin: Well there are a few thins to keep in mind. And we are going to talk about them. We will talk about each of the three bosses. And we will talk about the trash leading up to the bosses. Because the way the ramparts are laid out, there is a whole lot of trash to get through before you even see the first boss.
Mark: Right, the first two thirds is walking through it.
Arwin: That’s right, so we will walk you through that. We will also talk about some of the fat loot, fat experience, fat reputation that you can get from level 56 going forward.
Mark: Nice.
Arwin: Pretty nice.
Mark: Well let’s stop talking about it, and start talking about it.
Arwin: Alright so let’s first talk out how to get to this place, because it is the first instance you can get to in the outlands. So let’s talk about getting to the outlands. It is through the dark portal, which is in the blasted lands, which is in the swamp of sorrows. Turn left at Cucamonga, head down into the portal. You can enter the portal at 58, but you can get to the ramparts at 56.
So do the math and it doesn’t work out. So the trick is you have to get a warlock to summon that.
Mark: A warlock to get yourself summoned in there.
Arwin: That’s right, with all the summoning stones a wizard puts into world of Warcraft, it kind of made warlocks feel a little…
Mark: No love for the warlocks.
Arwin: Well, Blizzard over loves the warlocks if you ask me, but whatever. With the summoning stones warlocks are feeling a little underappreciated, so they are pretty important here. Because it is 2 level differences, you get a lot more XP.
Mark: Right you get a jump start.
Arwin: That’s right. So if you do get a warlock to summon you to the ramparts, and once your there you will want to set your heart stone in one of the local towns there. When you are at the town it is going to be hard to get back to the ramparts. Because it is basically, I don’t know if you have ever seen spaghetti.
Mark: I have seen spaghetti, it is the twisty…
Arwin: It’s twisty exactly. And it is kin of like navigating through a plate of spaghetti. So we will get you there, hopefully well fed as well. So you want to come from Thrallmar for instance, you will come south and go over towards the chasm. Head across the little bridge and you are going to head downwards. Don’t go directly straight, because that will take you to the big daddy instance here.
Mark: Yeah, you don’t want to do that.
Arwin: No, there are three instances in hellfire citadel. You want the baby.
Mark: Yeah, because you are the baby.
Arwin: You’re the baby. If you are in alliance you want to come a little bit north and it will head you west, crossing a bridge. A different bridge than Moor will have. And the summoning stone should be right in front of you. The important thing to remember is that the ramparts is right by the summoning stone.
So once you are there go into the portal at 56, there is a quest in ramparts that you can pick up, but not until you are 58. So the trick here, run it over, and over, and over, and over. Just for the experience, the honor you get reputation.
Mark: Right reputation.
Arwin: Which is going to give you some fat loot in itself, you get reputation up through honor. That is beyond friendly with your faction.
Mark: Super friendly.
Arwin: Super friends.
Mark: And you get all sorts of go crap too.
Arwin: Oh let me tell you about the good crap. We shouldn’t even call it good crap, because that demeans crap.
Mark: It is no even crap, its just good stuff.
Arwin: No it is just good, good. It will replace blues and purples that you have had forever that you have worked for all your molten courtyard, your tier 2 stuff. Anything you have found in the auction house. See ya.
Mark: Yea, it’s gone.
Arwin: So now you are going to be a patchwork of greens like you were when you were a level 30, looking like a vagabond.
Mark: That’s right.
Arwin: That is what you are going to get here only; it is going to be good stuff.
Mark: But that red tuff, that red because it is heat resistant.
Arwin: Fire resists gear.
Mark: Yeah fire resist, still good.
Arwin: Good call it is still very good because as you obviously already know, little clairvoyance there good job. Here is a lot of fire damage in this instance.
Mark: A lot of fire damage.
Arwin: The last boss is a fire breather, he is a dragon. So do bring your fire resist gear. You are also going to want to have fire resist for some other ring of fire, hellfire guys who try to blast you through the instance. There is a lot of trash going up through the first boss, a ton of trash. So that is going to be a long time to get there. Don’t worry about it, overall it is a forty five minute instance.
Mark: Like that.
Arwin: From start to finish, totally fast, which is why you can run it over and over, warrior loot, warrior experience, warrior reputation. There we go.
Mark: I don’t even give a damn about my bad reputation but that’s just me.
Arwin: You got to think about your reputation.
Mark: You do.
Arwin: You know word gets around.
Mark: Yeah got to rely on that word.
Arwin: So to sum up the ramparts as a whole. You want to make sure you go into the ramparts near the summoning stone.
Mark: You want to go in?
Arwin: You want to go in. Don’t go up, go in. Number two you want to do it over and over and over from 56 to 62 even. You are still getting really good experience and reputation. And don’t forget the loots, never forgetting the loots. Do bring our fire resist gear; don’t get rid of all your crap first. Make sure you get the greens to replace them. But do bring fire resistance it will be helpful in this instance, and beyond that just rack up the goods. Over and over, forty five minutes and you’re done.
Mark: Sweet so lets hit it. Cool, so we will take you up to the trash and the first boss, watch keeper Gargolmar.
Arwin: Gargolmar! Gargolmar.
Mark: Gargolmar, arrgh, coming up next.

<media:text type="html"><![CDATA[On Warcraft
Episode “Ramparts Watch keeper Gargolmar”

Mark: Welcome back to On Warcraft, Mark Major.
Arwin: Arwin Wheats.
Mark: Ramparts, going through and talking about how we are going to kill all that trash.
Arwin: Why you got o hate the trash?
Mark: Because its trash man, that’s what it is there for, for hating.
Arwin: We will also talk about killing the first boss.
Mark: That’s right.
Arwin: Watch keeper what’s his face.
Mark: Watch keeper Gorgonzola?
Arwin: That’s right.
Mark: That’s right, um yeah so let’s just hit it and get into it.
Arwin: Alright.
Mark: What do we got.
Arwin: Almighty so you have gotten into ramparts.
Mark: you have gotten in.
Arwin: Found it, congratulations, you are a level 56 or so. You have gotten a warlock to summon you there, because you can’t use a summoning stone yet. Can’t run through the portal, so now what do you do? Walk in and kill stuff.
Mark: Awesome that’s what we are here for.
Arwin: Let’s talk about this. You have a lot of trash to get through before the first boss, watch keeper Gargolmar. And a lot of this is all about the patrols, so you have to take some care in here. The patrols are dogs that see through stealth, and they have a little blue.
Mark: So you can’t just stealth through.
Arwin: You can’t just stealth through unfortunately. Yeah, there is no assassination run in here. But you will notice that they see through stealth. So if you are sending someone ahead to mark. Make sure they are careful; there are a lot of guys moving back and forth. Jus wait for them to go it’s a normal instance I am sure you have done this a million times.
Mark: Patience is key.
Arwin: That is right. There are a lot of casters. They will try to cast different things like hellfire, that will stick in one spot and you will just go. Duh, I am just going to move, and scamper along shall we.
Mark: Scamper along.
Arwin: I will just let you waste your mana on that piece of ground over there, no sweat. So typical stuff, just keep your wits about you. You should note there are a few people in this place that cant be crowd controlled at all. No sheeping, no sapping, nothing at all. These are rippers and beast masters, and you are going to hit both of them before the boss.
Mark: Take them out.
Arwin: So your best way to do this would be to crowd control one of their buddies. Because they are always surrounded by friends. They never travel alone, cowards.
Mark: They are popular, the beast masters.
Arwin: So take them out, take out their buddies, crowd control their buddies I should say and then take them out immediately, because they are pretty nasty too. The beast master is kind of cool because if you can kill him fast enough, he doesn’t have time to call his dog friends. You don have to deal with them, yea so kill em out. No sweat good to go. As for the rest of the guys, just treat them like normal casters and do a lot of line of sight pulls around corners so that they have to come to you., because they will sometimes fear you. Fear of being feared.
Mark: They wont fear on you, they don’t fear you very much.
Arwin: They don’t fear you very much. But something you have to keep in mind in this instance is that you are actually a smaller person than they are.
Mark: Yeah.
Arwin: You have a much larger agro radius; you have to watch that for the first time in however long you have been playing this game, been a long time since you were the little guy on the block. So watch out for that around here. Like I said just be careful with the patrols and be careful where you walk, be careful where you step.
Mark: Don’t step on any of the dog doo.
Arwin: Here is a lot of dog doo; they don’t curb their pets here, no. Its sad. It works their pretty lazy. You will see a lot of boxes sitting around.
Mark: I know, dirty, dirty Orcs.
Arwin: A lot of crap to just moving around and line of sight. You know they have lived there for months and still haven’t unpacked.
Mark: I know they got there high school year books and all there shit there.
Arwin: So once you have cleared your way through all this trash and gotten to the boss, you can actually watch him patrol around the corner, over and over. He is actually a pretty boring guy really. That is his whole life and you are coming in and busting up his joint.
So you watch him patrol away and clear all of the mobs that were in this close patrol area. Because you don’t want them joining in the fight. That’s silly talk.
Mark: Yeah one at a time boys, one at a time.
Arwin: Aint no fun in the game. So once he comes back around you are going to notice he has got two friends coming back around with him, the 2 friends of Gargolmar.
Mark: Gar Gol Mar.
Arwin: Are actually the ones you need to worry about. He is not so much anything to worry about himself. It is his buddies, and they heal them. So you will want to crowd control them or burn them down really fast while you take care of him. One important thing to note is he does have two effects on you. One is mortal wound, and that is going to keep healing effects down, and that will stack.
Mark: Right so he can just whack, whack, whack.
Arwin: Right.
Mark: He’s not so bad right.
Arwin: He is not so bad, especially because his buddies cant heal him. The second thing he does is a charge. That will knock you back and interrupt your casting and things like that. /it has been known to knock people right out of the instance.
Mark: That’s crazy.
Arwin: It is crazy because the run back sucks. That really sucks. And incidentally the corpse run is pretty heinous to. So just don’t die.
Mark: No rogues there.
Arwin: No, no, not in this one, it is just a long run.
Mark: That’s right it is just a long run through there.
Arwin: We will talk about rogues later.
Mark: I am very excited about the rogues.
Arwin: He likes those sneaky killings. So try not to get killed. Hey kid watch out you don’t get killed. We will help you.
Mark: Top tip, don’t get killed.
Arwin: That’s what we are here for, loot at 0 percent health. So this guy, make sure you crowd control his friends. Watch out for his little head butt things. And uh, what’s the other thing he does, oh yeah the healing effect. Yeah no problem just heal through that. Just as long as his buddies aren’t healing him, it is going to be a short life for him.
Mark: He is gone.
Arwin: You will be good, loot at zero, he has got fat loot and a chest near him.
Mark: Get the chest. Always get the chest.
Arwin: Oh here is a note; I guarantee you will be with a party as I have been every single time. And one guy forgets to lot him for a quest item.

<media:text type="html"><![CDATA[On Warcraft
Episode “Ramparts, Omor the unscarred”

Mark: Welcome back to On Warcraft on On Networks. I am Mark Major.
Arwyn: I am Arwyn Wheats.
Mark: And we are going to go through the second part of the ramparts, we are going after the second boss, Omar the unscarred.
Arwyn: The unscarred.
Mark: That’s right he is like a baby’s bottom. Smooth round sexy man.
Arwyn: He is no that sexy.
Mark: He’s not?
Arwyn: No. He is actually pretty easy.
Mark: Alright cool.
Arwyn: We will figure out how to do it, how to get to him an all that good stuff. Then we are going to scar him the f**k up.
Mark: Man we are going to f**k him up. F**k him up, a lot.
Arwyn: Alright at this point you have gotten through the enormous amount of trash mob before the first boss. You killed the first boss and you looted.
Mark: You got his stuff.
Arwyn: And you made sure the four dumb members in your party. Who aren’t you because you’re smart. Make sure they have all looted him as well.
Mark: We are not talking about you. You are the good one.
Arwyn: The smart one, clearly. So you have looted and now you got to move onto a few more trash pools and the last of the two bosses. So we are going to talk about up to the boss and the boss, the unscarred.
Mark: The unscarred Omor.
Arwyn: First of all when you first leave the area where your corpse, the looted corpse of the first boss is lying.
Mark: The looted corpse.
Arwyn: Looted no sparklies. You are going to hop over some boxes that the rocs haven’t gotten around to unpacking. You can sneak by, even at level 56; you can sneak by and ignore a couple of mobs that are sitting around by the corner. Kill them if you want the experience and the reputation, but…
Mark: Don’t feel obligated.
Arwyn: Right you are going to run this so many times. Those two guys aren’t going to make or break you’re…
Mark: You will have a chance to get there.
Arwyn: Well if you really want to kill them, I heard they said something abut your mother.
Mark: Really?
Arwyn: Just saying.
Mark: Alright let’s do it.
Arwyn: So come around the corner and you are going to kill a couple of more guys at a doorway. This is important, because the next pool is five warlocks; one of them is the ripper dude who doesn’t get crowd controlled.
Mark: Jack?
Arwyn: No, but you are going to jack with him.
Mark: Alright, jack him up.
Arwyn: All the way up. So you want to make sure to crowd control at least one of those warlocks. Pull all of them all the way down the stairs is the easiest way to do it. You can fight them right were they stand.
Mark: Because you don’t want to be running back and forth.
Arwyn: Well they will make you run because they fear you.
Mark: Oh they will make you run; you’re like a sadistic personal trainer with the robes and the ungh.
Arwyn: They will make you sweat your fat right off.
Mark: That is right.
Arwyn: It disgusting really.
Mark: That’s how gnomes got that small.
Arwyn: Oh, I am interested in how you know about gnome anatomy and physiology.
Mark: Personal training.
Arwyn: Works wonders. Wow you are going to pull these guys all the way down the stairs, or stand there and run around. I don’t care whatever. It’s your death. Once you focus fire them down continue on. You are going to have a couple more trash pulls. Pull them back into a hallway, it is safer there. It is warm and cozy. And then you are going come into a big round room, where there is a patrol going around. So again you have to be careful, much like the beginning of the instance.
Mark: Same deal.
Arwyn: The dog poo, the dog pot that sees through stealth. Wait for that pass to go by an then pull to the right that is the easiest way to do it. Take it from me kids I have died a lot in here, and I have not died even more.
Mark: She knows dying.
Arwyn: I know death, so to help you stay away from that little piece of particular faith. Just kill the guys to the right first once the path is by them. And then pull everyone one by one, your golden. That is right; there is a five pull with a couple of non elites. You know how to do these things, kill the non elite first, because they are easier to kill. Kill the guys wearing the dresses that are trying to rain fire down on you.
Mark: Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Arwyn: Not at all, I am just saying they are pansies.
Mark: Yeah its, more about a fire thing.
Arwyn: I am just saying there really flammable too. So kill all these guys, and then kill the melee guys. Moving on, soon you have a choice to go across a bridge. Over which you can see the final boss, Nazaris, Naza somebody, some guy on a dragon flying around. It is pretty neat to see. It is kind of a sight of the hole, one of your first things to see in the outland.
Mark: One of those World of Warcraft scenic views that is.
Arwyn: It is a screen capture moment the first time. The fiftieth time you are like yeah okay. Moving on, so head off to the right instead, ignore the dragon for now. He will be our final boss. Go of to the right to Omor the unscarred.
Mark: Omor the unscarred.
Arwyn: Uh huh. He has his own little platform. You are going to head down there, you see a couple of trash mobs along the way, and they are both casters. Head right to Omor, and you got to know a couple of things about him.
Mark: What?
Arwyn: I will tell you.
Mark: Alright.
Arwyn: First of all he is a pushover. No problem here. He has got a couple of abilities, he does curse. It can be dispelled so no problem there if you have a decurser in the party that is the easiest way to go, if you don’t know problem because the curse doesn’t affect you.
Mark: It affects everyone around you.
Arwyn: That’s right.
Mark: It’s like body odor kind of.
Arwyn: Essentially. So move away from your party members if at all possible if you don’t have a decurser, the other thing that he doe is he summons a fell hound. Many of them actually, only one at a time though. And actually he may only summon two if you kill the guy fast enough. So it’s all about you.
Mark: That’s right. You control the pacing of this.
Arwyn: Chose your own adventure. O if y can watch him summon his hell hounds with his enemy caster bar, if you got that turned on, which is a good, applicant. Yeah. It is in the vanilla modifications for Warcraft right now so you don’t even have to download anything. Just get it and put it on there. It will make things easier for you.
Mark: Just hit the button.
Arwyn: So kill the Fell Hounds as soon as he summons them. And then decurse when you se a popup. And finally, oh he does this really cool thing.
Mark: What does he do?
Arwyn: It’s called a shadow whip, and he tethers you up in the air. Or like a big meaty kite.
Mark: Or a little piñata, yeah.
Arwyn: Pretty much and the warriors and bear tanks can charge out of it, which is kind of cool to see them like, straight for the ground.
Mark: Yeah dive bomb, yeah.
Arwyn: It’s pretty funky, but otherwise he is totally cake.
Mark: Cool.
Arwyn: Cake, pie, and when he is done and finished with all his posing, loot him up. He has also got a quest item, loot.
Mark: Don’t forget to loot your quest items.
Arwyn: Feel free to kick any member who forgets to loot. Once done your all set, get your blue drop. Replace your purples from molten core, and move onto the final boss.
Mark: Yep.
Arwyn: Alrighty so to wrap it up, all you need to do is head on up there to kill the warlocks. Line of sight them, head into the room with the troll and everything. Aim for the right hand sides first, always pull from the right. Pull from the right, right is right. And beyond the right is Omor the unscarred. Who curses, who summons hellhounds, and he will tether you up in the air before you kick hi ass.
Mark: It is a dirty, dirty word.
Arwyn: Tether.
Mark: To wrap it up, we are going to go to the last part of the ramparts, Vasruden the dragon rider and Nazan the ridden dragon, he is riding,
Arwyn: Right we are going to bust him up.
Mark: Yep, we are going to bust him up and we are going to bust it out, coming up.

Episode “Ramparts. Vazruden and Nazan”

Mark: Welcome back to On Warcraft on On Networks. I am Mark Major.
Arwyn: I am Arwyn Wheats.
Mark: And we are going to take you through the last part of the ramparts, part three with Vazruden the dragon rider and Nazou, naza…
Arwyn: Nazan.
Mark: Nazan.
Arwyn: His little friend.
Mark: His little ridden friend who he rides on, because he is a rider on the storm. Alright let’s kill some dragons.
Arwyn: Alrighty.
Mark: Alrighty.
Arwyn: I’m ready.
Mark: I’m ready, to get through this rampart.
Arwyn: Cool, awesome. Well if you are ready then you have probably brought your fire resist gear. And this is the one for it. That’s right because the dragon itself spits fire.
Mark: Shocker.
Arwyn: Right, so there is a lot of fire damage in this fight. The first thing you need to know heading to him, is and mind you, you already killed the other bosses and trash, if not everything. You have two guys to kill at the beginning of the bridge. And then the next two guys at the bottom of the bridge directly below the dragon and its rider, they start the event. So make sure you know this going in, because otherwise when you start the event it is really a kind of shocker.
Mark: That’s right don’t alert the little guys until you are ready to rock.
Arwyn: That’s right, it’s the second guys. You can keep them sheathed, spirit regen or do anything else to get your mana and your health back up. And once their dead you have about 1.5 seconds to drink if you haven’t, if you have got someone who maybe killed a sheep to fast or something like that. You have got a really, really short window to drink.
Mark: Yeah that’s not a lot of time.
Arwyn: Not a lot of time but if your really on the ball you can do it.
Mark: I know a guy who can put a pint down in a second so.
Arwyn: 1.5 seconds flat? One second flat?
Mark: One second flat, just open u the throat and bam down it goes.
Arwyn: He could do another half then.
Mark: He could.
Arwyn: So uh once you are up to full health and mana and everything. This is where you are going to want to engage and the dragon. Now originally you have the dragon and the rider swooping around. He guy who comes down first is the rider. I guess he paratroops off or something.
Mark: He jumps off.
Arwyn: He just kind of comes down to kill you. I wish it were that combatic. It would really make the instance a lot more interesting. As it I he just kind of comes down and runs to you. Yeah it is not very showy at all, he is not very limber. So you want the tank to taunt him immediately. Because having killed the first two guys, no one is agro the boss yet. He is going to the healer, always. Everyone loves the healer. Who doesn’t? So you want to make sure he taunts off. You want to make sure that while the dragonling is circling around.
Mark: Is this a real dragon or just a dragonling?
Arwyn: He is a real dragon, he is bonafide, fire spitting, floating in the air, the whole nine yards. But while he is circling around he is spitting fire down on you. While your killing his rider. I guess he likes being ridden. So he is really attached to this guy, he is going to try to protect him. At about 20 percent the dragon will land and he will come try to beat you up himself.
Mark: He is done calling in air strikes he is going to make it personal.
Arwyn: Right. Now the thing about him, you still need to be killing, what is he, Vazruden?
Mark: Vazruden.
Arwyn: Vazruden the herald. You need to still kill the guy even while your tank immediately taunts the dragon, because he will go after the healer.
Mark: He will rock your world.
Arwyn: He likes bar b qued healer and he takes it raw or whatever. So make sure to taught him off your healer or whatever. And kill the guy. Start on the dragon, the dragon breaths fire.

Mark: The guy should be pretty much dead.
Arwyn: The guy should be that’s the point, if you have done anything in your job right. But if you re coming at a level 56, you might have a tougher time bringing them both down. But still just, you get the job done, so he breaths the fire of cone. The dragon does.
Mark: Cone of fire?
Arwyn: Fire of cone.
Mark: Fire of cone. Wow that’s a new one.
Arwyn: It’s kind of funky actually. Yeah he throws cones at you, they are pointy. Cone of fire, are you happy? Cone of fire, which means if you face the dragon stay from you party members, they don’t get hit with your fire. So you have got to have a tank that is kind of on the ball, knows how to position the bosses and things like that. If the tank does get in the fire, he can strafe. You know side to side running, strafing means side to side and shoot.
Mark: I know I know that.
Arwyn: So he can run out of the way of the fire cone, and he can also run in between the dragons legs to get out of fire. That is the same with other melee. Now if your melee DPS, you should not be in front of the dragon.
Mark: No you want to be behind the dragon, away from the action end.
Arwyn: Aim for the tail. Aim, well on your point of view I don’t know, but aim for the tail.
Mark: That’s a different game.
Arwyn: If you are melee just hit him in the butt basically. Everyone else should be ranged and vanishing themselves because especially on a lower level group like 56 going on forward. You are going to make sure that your healers are just healing your tank. It is a tough fight, if you are at that level.
Mark: There is lots of hurting going around.
Arwyn: Lots of hurting, so again, fire resist gear is going to be helpful. The other thing that is going on while the cone of fire is being spat upon and the guys are moving around. He is still going to be throwing out rings of fire that stick to individuals and it is like napalm. So if you get hit by one of those. It smells like defeat if you stay in it.
Mark: Depends on your point of view I guess.
Arwyn: Well for the dragon yeah, so run out of those fires and you should be fine. They do a lot of damage tick for tick; just run away have your DPS bandage yourself. If you are the healer obviously heal yourself. But keep your focus mainly on the tank, because they are going to be in a world of pain.
Mark: Yes they are a world of pain.
Arwyn: Get through the fight, a fiery world of pain. It kind of has a warm burn. It’s nice, it a good hurt. If something happens and you wipe on this fight, you can reset it. There is a big curly horn on the side of the ring.
Mark: Ricolla.
Arwyn: Right the problem is if you actually succeed, the box drops with the fat loot in it, and someone blows the horn, loot first. Because if that horn gets blown dragon is back in the sky and his box is gone.
Mark: And your like what, what, oh oww it burns.
Arwyn: So you got to do it again. Aw the pain, aw the atmosphere. So you have to do it again if you do blow the horn. So it’s a failsafe, but if you got four morons in your party, the same guys that forgot to loot the other two bosses.
Mark: No well I didn’t, they are running around naked and they are blowing horns and pulling switches.
Arwyn: You know the ones. G kick. So once you have got the guy down obviously loot, don’t blow the horn unless you mean it. Right and from there you are golden. This is the last guy. He drops the last quest item that you need, the other two that you have collected. And he also drops a new quest item.
Mark: Right to start you off on a new path to glory.
Arwyn: That’s right, hats going to lead you straight over to the blood furnace, which is the next instance in this hellfire citadel complex that you have been fighting in. So that is a pretty cool thing.
Mark: That is very cool, so to wrap it up.
Arwyn: Right o’ what we are going to do is head in there, fire resist gear.
Mark: Fire resist that.
Arwyn: The dragon is a fire spitter. He is a spitter.
Mark: He is a fire starter. So make sure you are resisting that fire, you are staying out of the fire when he doe spit on you. Run away from it. And if you are the tank face him away from your party so you are the only one facing that fire. Let everyone else hit the butt. And then loot the box; it has got your fat loot in it. Don’t blow the horn until you need to. The horn resets.
Mark: That is a good life principle I think.
Arwyn: Don’t group with morons too.
Mark: Alright so you have gone through the ramparts, hit the Omor, hit Gargamel, and hit the dragon rider dude, what comes next?
Arwyn: Well with all those quest done you’re going to return back into your little town, which ever which on you are. And this quest is going to send you to the blood furnace.
Mark: Awesome!
Arwyn: Hellfire part 2.
Mark: Hellfire.
Arwyn: So another part of the citadel, more loot more xp, more reputation. It’s not easy to get too though.
Mark: Yeah it is kind of a pain, you got to go around and over the.
Arwyn: Over the river and through the woods, but grandma does not live here. So in the next episode we will tell you how to get to it because it is a little bit convoluted.
Mark: So stay tuned for the next episode.
